to view guarantor totals and patient
totals on a single screen. New totals include Family total, the total
for all of the
patients under the guarantor and an Account total, the total for each
specific
patient under a guarantor.
- Patient drill-down includes the patient Social
Security Number.
- Office notes can be included in comment
tab of the claim or statement.

Data Collaboration Between
Billing Services, Physician Offices

Billing services and physician offices can now share data without
having to overwrite
data. Physicians can send demographic data to their billing service and
the billing service can subsequently send back or share financial data
with the physicians. In
the past, all new data was written over the old data. Now data can be
easily merged.
A new utility within Medutilities enables users to choose the source
and destination
database. The user matches and verifies patient demographic/chart data
and then merge
data from any tables available in Medisoft.
Transaction Solutions
Enhancements
- Easier electronic claims services set up through additional
transaction fields
in the database.
- Additional table added to track remittance information and
for easier secondary claim billing. Users can access remittance
information from primary insurance carriers,
ERA files or EOB reports. This information is essential for billing
secondary carriers
in order to receive proper payment.
